We’re glad you found us! Welcome to the all new Amigos International Website! It’s nearly finished now. Expect it to be fully running next month, August.

About 80% of this website is translatable by using the language buttons at the top of the website. 100% multi-linguality is still under construction.
And there are 2 bugs that I still have to fix: sometimes all the youtube movies show up in the right column, in stead of only the selected one. Plus, the pop-up menu’s sometimes stick in stead of fold back.

After the succesful introduction of Escoffee, the Ecuadorian Specialty coffee, Amigos will come out this year with three brand new products for the European market: ESCHOCOLAT, a delicious, gourmet chocolat bar made of the finest Ecuadorian Arriba cacao; CAFÉ-CHOCOLITOS, Arabica coffee beans covered with chocolate; and INTI-ZEN, a tea where East meets West with a wonderful line of herbal teas and infusions.

Escoffee managed also this year to reserve one-third of the profits for the ‘Farmer Support Funds’, purchasing with it eight pulping machines with this in 2006, two laptops in 2007 and twenty-five more pulping machines for this year. Farmers repay these machines are in one to two harvests against 0% interest. The machines allow the farmer to process his or her red cherries into parchment coffee, thus adding value to the coffee and fetch a better price. Amigos thanks all individuals and organisations that have supported us: from the producer, wholesaler, and retailer to hotels, restaurants and the final consumer!

Amigos strives to double our import and sales in 2008, allowing for more value-added in developing countries and more delicious, special products for consumers in the North… a win-win situation, we think!
